NEW YEAR, NEW PROJECTS

As with anything, there are dates that, although they should be one more day in the year, they are not. The 1st of January is not different than any other day, but it is. It marks the beginning of a new period; something imposed on each of us forces us to consider what changes we want to implement in the next year of our lives. Interestingly enough, for me this year, January 1st came earlier. I have decided that in 2025, I want to do more projects dedicated to magicians.

I believe the state of Magic as an art form needs to change/evolve from what has been done/repeated in the last years. Social media and all the new technology have impacted what it has become. The way people engage with and profit from it saddens me, as Magic is important to me. Although I don’t believe these attitudes will vanish anytime soon, I want to help people who feel the same. The website Secret Language will be my expression for all serious students of Magic who wish to join me in this new chapter. (Yes, it’s password protected, so only people who have a knowledge of Magic can access it).

I am also committed to releasing the Project H book this year. It has been titled Unable to Copy, and I have been working on it slowly, but as it keeps evolving, I don’t want to give a date that I can’t fulfill. So, let’s leave that open, but know it is not forgotten. I want to make sure I bring to life what I am visualizing right now, and it’s such a multifaced project that it becomes hard to harshness it.

I also decided to take most of 2025 to slow down and try new things. The idea that we need always to be constantly producing doesn’t free us to learn new things, so I want to have that time again this year. I was invited to be part of a theater play this year and took that opportunity. I have not done pure acting in a long time, so I am curious to go back and look at it with different eyes.

All these and more will have me busy for a while. And I will keep writing from this road.
